Family founded in 2010, Nijira Braids caters to all gender, race, sexual orientation and age. We believe that Black is beautiful, and we take pride in selling a product that contributes to exposing the beauty of Black Heritage.
Nijira is a multi-passionate woman who always treasured her gift. Nijira was born in Dakar - Senegal -, the African Capital of Braiding. At a very young age she practiced her art on the black doll her GrandMa offered her. Quickly, she began braiding her sisters, classmates and family friends. By the time she was a teen, people will travel far to use her services. As a young adult, Nijira relocated to Paris, France and worked for years at the Prestigious Braiding Shop "Espoir Coiffure" in Chateau D'eau, Paris. There, she perfected her art and brought it to an upscale standard. Nijira relocated to the United States, where she worked in Harlem, NY Southside Chicago and now in the DFW area.
